MyNorfolk account update

We are making changes to improve the MyNorfolk account. In the meantime, from 13 May, you will be invited to update your account if you want to use it to submit certain requests. You can still use the same email and password to sign in, but you will need to provide some contact information again.

After 13 May, you will not be able to see requests you made before then, but you will still get email updates on existing requests. We will also be reducing the range of services we offer in the account temporarily. We're sorry for this inconvenience.

You can request a copy certificate using our online form. We'll confirm your order by email and give you a link so you can track its progress.

How much does it cost?

Copies of birth, marriage, and death certificates costs £12.50. Certificates will be ready within working 15 days, if ordered by 3pm.

Certificates are then sent out by second class post.

Urgent copies of birth, marriage, and death certificates

Our priority service for urgent requests costs £38.50. If you order by 3pm on a working day, we usually process it on the next working day. We send urgent certificates by first class post.

You cannot use the priority service to order certificates for:

Church weddings that haven't happened yet
Recent marriages where you don't have a certificate yet

Adoption certificates

You get an Adoption certificate which shows your new identity when you are adopted. This certificate replaces the original entry of birth. It becomes the certificate you will use for official purposes.

You can only get Adoption certificates from the General Register Office. The office is based in Merseyside. Their phone number is 0300 123 1837. Go to the General Register website for more contact information and details about ordering online.
