KS2 - The Tudors

This resource can be used for Key Stage 2 in the study of local history.

It looks at the differences between the lives of the rich and poor, showing how local events such as Kett’s Rebellion had an impact nationally.

It also examines how national issues such as plague affected those living locally.

KS2 - How were Norfolk people affected by the Second World War?

This resource can be used for Key Stage 2 in the study of a significant turning point in British history.

Documents explore the experiences of evacuees to Norfolk, rationing and other ways in which the war affected people.

KS2 - What was the impact of the 2nd Air Division in East Anglia during the Second World War?

This resource can be used for Key Stage 2 in the study of a significant turning point in British history.

It details the history of the 2nd Air Division, United States 8th Army Air Force in East Anglia and how this ‘friendly invasion’ affected local people and communities.

KS2 - Victorian Childhood

Images on Victorian childhood are available on the E2BN online gallery as part of the Key Stage 2 local history study.

All images are free to download for educational purposes and can be viewed on screen individually or shown as part of a PowerPoint.

KS3 - How was Norfolk affected by slavery?

This resource is useful for Key Stage 3’s Ideas, Political Power, Industry and Empire: Britain 1745-1901.

It focuses on Britain’s transatlantic slave trade and shows how some Norfolk citizens campaigned for its abolition, while others owned slaves.

It examines how human and physical processes interact to influence and change landscapes, environments and the climate.

It also looks at how human activity relies on effective functioning of natural systems.

  Science

KS2 - What changes happen to the body in flight?

The resource is useful for the Year 6 topic Animals including Humans and uses documents from the 2nd Air Division, United States 8th Army Air Force.

It encourages pupils to look at parts of the human circulatory system and their functions, then consider the effects of different environments and pressures on these functions.

KS2 - How can we transport and harness water?

The resource was designed for the Years 5 and 6 topic Forces.

It can be particularly helpful in looking at the effects of water resistance and friction and in studying mechanisms including levers, pulleys and gears.
